Binder Park

City of Jefferson Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry (JC Parks) provides facilities, programs, and experiences for the residents and guests that contribute to an enhanced quality of life.  JC Parks strives to provide opportunities that create value and ensure that Jefferson City is a healthy, active, and beautiful place to live, work, and play.

JC Parks maintains 1,400 acres of parkland that consist of 20 parks, 40 miles of trails, an outdoor amphitheater, 13 playgrounds, 15 ball fields, two swimming pools, a public golf course, a wellness and recreation center, and a one-sheet indoor ice arena.

Outdoor Entertainment

JC Parks brings the entertainment! Catch national acts performing on stage at the outdoor amphitheater or join thousands of community members at the bi-annual arts celebration, Porchfest, to see local artists line the porches and streets at this vibrant event.

Bring the entire family to the free, family-friendly events offered each year, like KidsFest, the Fishing Derby, Mighty Machines, and outdoor movie series.

Rec Programs

Recreation services include youth sports, adult sports, day camp programs, and a special population that provides fun, educational, and socializing activities for members of Jefferson City with disabilities.

Binder Park

Find 644 acres of outdoor fun at Binder Park, where there 15 miles of mountain bike and hiking trails, a ropes course, RV campground, kayak rentals, ball fields, sand volleyball court, two championship-level 18-hole disc golf courses, boat ramp, and a 155-acre fishing lake with ADA fishing pier.
